Hey hey, another new day. And we just found a new place to email that is
top of the line :) haha. This week went we slow, we have been doing
good but my companion keeps jpraying for god to disapline us (sorry I´ve
lost all thought of spelling) so the week was long, appointment after
appointment fell through, and we worked hard, really hard. but because
of the lack of appointments and the 4 investigators that say they want
to be baptised but dont feel ready. We are getting our buts kicked by
the zone leaders, I think tommorrow they are coming to do splits with us
:P but hey it´ll be good. This week we actually had splits which I
really enjoyed I stayed in my area but I was with Elder Anderson,
another new elder here, has the same time in the mission as me. But it
felt nice to be the one that new what he was doing. Or atleast prettend.
And cuz it was my area, I got to lead all the discussions, which doesnt
usually happen when you have a comp that is 23 months out. Its his way
or the high way :) The spanish is coming along but sometimes its
difficult, alot of the time I ask a question and the people just look at
me, like what did he say? then my comp repeats the question, with the
same words and the people completely understand... I must sound pretty
white I guess.
Today was sweet though, I´ve been trying to get my comp to go hike
with me on mondays and today we finally did. Thank goodness. We started
at 7 and it was a pretty short hike an hour and a half up, and proly
alittle over 3 miles, 2000 ft. elevation. So it wasnt to bad, but it was
beutiful, Elder Morales was way shocked, Everything is green, and there
is no trash, it smells like flowers and is beyond beutiful... haha, it
was sweet. We got up there, and sat for a good half hour, I also got the
chance to pray at the top... The two places in my life that I feel God
is always there is the top of the mountains and the Temple. Remember
before Moses had a Temple he climbed to the top of the mountain and
talked to god face to face. Well I had an experience like that today, it
was way spiritual, that is one of the reasons I love the mountians. We
jogged off, well I jogged off the mountian, waiting for my companion
alot because we cant really split up but it was way fun, the trail wasnt
bad. We also found a cave, that a huge barn owl flew out when we got in
it.
As I was ontop of the mountain I began to jog, just an easy
pace nothing to hard. Feeling free and like I owned the world. The
mountain platued and so as I jogged the reletively flat, burnt ground.
Picking my trail out I let my mind relax and my body go free. Only
thinking of the next place to place my foot inbetween the rock scattered
ground, or what bush I was groing to jump over, What trick I wanted to
do, Or which way would be the most fun, I was free, and loving it.
What was that, a jack rabbit...does it have horns? Where is it going?
man its fast..... I think I´m faster... I think I can beat it.... Well
hey I´ll try to beat it there is no harm in that. As into my mind
entered a different objective my body sprang forth like a hound out of
the gates, My mind was alert, and just like the dog runs down the rabbit
I was to do the same... (Really the only difference is I wasnt spitting
all over the place) As I pushed forward and with all my strenght began
to run, I new I could catch this rabbit, as it ran under in through
bushes I jumped over and around them, sometimes hurtiling two or three
at a time. My mind was set upon the goal and my body ached to achieve
it, My adrenaline pumped and I was in .... THE ZONE.... in front of me
was a batch of bushes, but they were all small. As I jumped up and over,
hurtling them as if I was running a 10.0 in the 100 meter, I came down
and with a shot of pain through my foot, My mind was again reawakened,
it stung and felt as if fire was burning the outer half of my foot, As I
picked it up and thought to my self what was that, I saw as I began to
slow the cactus that was once loggeged in my foot fly up through the
air.
So yeah, I put a cactus in my foot, It hurt pretty bad. But wasnt
really much. I only had to pull out a couple of spines :) Last cool
thing before I leave you all for another week wondering what wonderful
things are happening here. Is in our hike we came to a point that we
could see into the US whats up. Wait.... the phone who texted us? boom
AT&T saying the we were now using international... or towers from
the US... Then as we peaked out.... Yep we crossed the border :) The
border for tecate was on the other side of us. I have returned....
Peace love and Man, i wanna go fishing.
