The best day of someone's life.

"What, you mean you going to baptise the little girl. and you going to have me baptise her?" "yep thats the plan" " I hope you know there are five different levels to fat, and she classifies inbetween the Fluffy, and Dang level"
Well the lord humbles you quick, just when you think you are stron he sends another brick your way, or in my case..... Anais. One wednesday we had a baptismal servis. It was really sweet, we had aton of people there, the whole place was packed. Me and Elder Morales had two people to be baptised this day, an 11 year old girl and a 17 year old girl. Sounds good.... Well it was good. The spirit was really strong the whole meeting, and we had a hymn from the primary. The font looked good ( because we cleaned out all the coak roaches) and was mostly full ( because we couldnt' stop it from draining we used a bag and a plate to cover the drain) Elder morales did a great job, with his baptism and it really went over nice and spiritual. Then the moment arrived. I demenstarted to anais, the 17 year old the way that she was to be baptised "what I have to go all the way under " was her response. We entered the font and the opened the doors. I got through the prayer and went to dip her down, half way down she freaked out ( well no big problem right just push her down dunk her and get it over with) no its a bitg problem, she is a big problem. close to 300 pounds of a problem. Well she sprang up spalshing water everywich derection. Alright we are going to try this again... Second time... So close but when her face hit the water, she rejected it like she was oil. Springing back up... To make it better for her this time we knelt down... prayer, she went down, again freaked out... but this time it wasnt going to happen like that, I was going to make it work... so puting all may weight I sunk her to the bottom of the calf high water... really barely anywater, but know thereal problem, How am I supposed to get her back up. Well I tried my best, but in the end she came up coughing and slipping and sliding trying to get back to her feet :) well everything went well and she is now a member..

Sorry the story is short.. But we have to go I only had 10 mins on the comp... Love you all

Peace love, and next week itll be better

Bueno

Bueno.
Allright, I wish I had something great to write this week, but I really can't think of anything. The week has been great, and to be honest I kept thinking this week I need to write this to home. But then never remembered to write it all down :) sorry.

Well I'll start with the story that I remember. We got out of a lesson in middle of the day and were walking down a trail that we hadn't been on before. As we walked we talked and placticated about life, love, and the pursuit of happiness. Not paying attention to were the wind blew, and to were it was taking us. We kept our meandering path for quite sometime when, very abuptly, and unfortunatly we found our selves in the middle of two houses, and standing on top of a cliff that appeared to not have any logical way to get off of it. So thinking alittle out of the box, I figured... Cliff, possible air time, soft landing.... and on the other side I was thinking ... white shirt, missionary.... blessed by god, and highly capable as you can tell, the possible thought of air time won, as it always will with me. As my companion looked and turned towards me. Looking back and with a smile on my face, I dropped it. Not very high, like 10 feet. But as I fell, My mind switch to the thoughts I should have had earlier.... Oh man this is going to hurt, I should have prayed before I did this, well to late now, try to suck it up... Slam, hufff, grumble, hmmm man that was alot bigger then I thought, but hey I'm allright no damage done, all is well that ends well... right?
Well right, it ended well for me. As I looked back my companion, was approaching the top of the cliff. And into my mind flashed memories of water falls, rocks, and broken knees (for those that read this, I once shattered my knee jumping from a water fall). But hey its my companion, not my brother, not me, ... why say anything? :) As he dropped off the ledge, half way down you could see in his face that this wasn't a usuall experience for him, and as he slammed into the ground, you could tell that the ussual Mexican has never had fun before in his life, nor jumped off anything higher then the ledge at the park, and that was only because he was running from dogs, drugs, and gunfire. (the three most common things in mexico) :).
Back to the cliff, He smashed into the ground and crumpled up like a 25 cent tin can under a fat mans foot, then the ground rejected him and he sprung back into the air like a giant spring and croaked in the air, like a dead frog. Landing square on his back :) He is now walking with a cane, he is allright just a bruised heal.

I hope the story made up for the lack of stories, I'm also lacking on time. But if you want to send me mail, or packages just send them to the cali address. I haven't gotten anything and I"m not sure I sent the right address to the mission to you guys, but the cali one I'll get, and actually it will proly be faster. Like every 6 weeks I'll recieve it or somthing :) haha.

I love you all

Peace, love, and these mountain would be sweet with alot of snow and no trash

Oh one more thing, people down here, just go out and lite the mountains on fire, freaking crazies. they want them to be green in the winter. :) weirdo :)

?Sal'e, means OK

"Tomorrow at 6:30 we will be at your house, for the baptismal interview" "sale?" "sale" (means ok) "yeah sounds great"

     Next person

"Tomorrow at 7:00 we will be at your house, for the baptismal interview" "sale?" "sale"

The following day at 6:30

      "Buenos Tardes"....."buenos tardes"...."knock knock"

7:00

"Buenos Tardes"........  "Buenos Tardes"....."buenos tardes"...."knock knock"

Well great, to bapismal dates, two interviews, and neither person showed up. Both said they were scared and not ready. Kinda a bummer, but I guess thats life. Really life is great here though. The sun is getting really hot, the ground is really dry, and the dirt is everywhere. people literally sweep the dirt, because there really is no ground haha. They sweep dirt off dirt :) There is a couple main roads in the area, and so if we drive we are on those roads, also we do have a walmart up the road from us and a little shoping mall. Its like a different world in walmart, all nice and clean. But Walmarts in Mexico are crazy too, because they are blaring music way loud the entire time, and people drive carts like they do cars haha. Oh and if we buy stuff at walmart, we take a taxi home so that our stuff doesnt get stolen. Really though we haven't run into any problems. I can't remember if I put this in my letter. But It's like pac man haha, We get ontop of hills where we can see all that is going on, and plan our route to the next house, avoiding, large sterios, bonfires, and noise. and we look for lights and members houses to run too haha. It's pretty fun, one time we were pretty sketched out because we had to pass this bonfire, and here usually around the fire are drunks and chollos we started getting close and the fire was one street above us. As we watched the fire everybody started to leave and walk towards us.... We were freaking sketching out haha. We started to walk alittle faster, and we looked up towards the fire again... and it was like 10 12 year olds at the fire haha. Nothing to worry about. Really this mission hasn't had anything happen bad in to for a long time. It was worse in Michigan.

The only thing that scares me is the dogs. All day long they are dead as can be, they don't move and lay out in the sun. But when night comes, they think that they own this place. They bark and chase you. fortunatly none have been very big, and we have faught them all off haha but yeah :)

As for the week. Yesterday, we had church and had 4 investigators there, which was way good to see. But after that, Elder Morales had a meeting in Central, Like an hour away. He left, and I spent the whole day with the ward mission leader. Who is a recent convert. So we had some good lessons, my favorite lesson of the week was with him. We were talking to his brother, and sharing the plan of salvation with him. When his brother started asking alot of questions, so I tried to answer as many as I could out of the scriptures. And mainly out of the book of Mormon. After a couple of scriptures he asked if you could find that in the bible. And to be honest I told him no, and then he started talking about how he had seen that the bible had turned some people for the bad. So I showed him 1 nephi 13. which talks about how because the bible has been passed down, and lost things, satan has control over the peoples harts. He was way excited to see that the book of Mormon had all these answers. It was way cool to see the power of the Book of Mormon work on someone like that. Unfortunatly the ward mission leader had something we hard to get to, or else I think we would have another date for baptism. This guy is really receptive to the gospel, and Thats what makes mexico great. People really do want to learn about christ and change their lives. Hopefully we can bring them that opportunity.

As for more then that. I love you all tons.

Peace, love, and Man, I want to take a shower that doesn't smell like junk, and one that bugs don't fall out of the shower head.

How is life of the Other Side?

How is life on the other side. Everyone says that down here. " ohhh, your from the other side" Like we are some kind of Aliens, or more like some kind of gods. Life on this side is good though. The week has been crazy hot, but pretty good. Actually I've been sick all week long, the food, water, air, everything, is contaminated, and for that reason I've been having to use the bathroom alot. Well one big problem, there is a bathroom at our house, a gas station near our house, and a gas station a couple miles away. All of which we are never close by, and I'm the kind of sick that I can't just use someones house. The one time I did, everyone was sitting outside the paper thin walls of the bathroom, laughing there heads off. Thanks.... flippin family... I was sick alright.... haha, it was a funny experience. But God has heard and answered alot of my prayers, I've made it to the bathroom everytime so far :)
Next highlight of the week, I have 8 blisters across 6 toes haha, I don't know why. I started to use this powder, basically baby powder on my feet, to help ward away athletes foot. Bam it gave me blisters like crazy haha love it. But fortunatly I've got a sharp nife, some iodine and have taken care of them. So I'm actually doing pretty good. My companion was pretty mad, when we came back to the house and I showed him my feet. " what the heck man, you didn't say anything" haha

Spiritual thought of the week, we went over to a recently baptised girls house, she is like 10 and has a 20 year old older thug brother. We entered the house and he thought he was way cool. We were talking to her, and him and asked them to read with us. He said he had no interest in the gospel but out of respect he would do it. We read 2 nephi 4. By the end of the time we were reading he wouldn't put down the book, his face had a huge smile. He asked alsorts of questions. And said right before we came he was thinking about exactly what the chapter talked about. We haven't seen him again. But it was a testimony of how much the book of mormon can change a person. When Martin Harris entered the Salt lake Valley for the first time he exclaimed. "I never thought the book of Mormon would do all this" It did, it has, and it forever will change the lives, and liberety of the people who choose to read and abide by it.

One more really quick, We had a lesson with a ladie this week. Christina Perez. She was a former investigator in the area, she had alot of doubt about alot of things, but at the end of the lesson, putting faith in God. I told her if we knelt down and prayed she would know it was right. She said she wanted to, so we knelt and she began her pray. "little by little tell me that this is true"... if only she had more faith, if you ask for it like that, thats how god will give it to you. It's hard for people to have faith for some reason. after the prayer, she stopped and continued praying on her own, for alteast 5 mins we sat there in silence, way powerful. She got her answer, but doesn't want to accept it. She has a bap. date for this weekend, but if she would apply faith in christ and understand the answers she has gotten she would have such a strong testimony of the gospel and of the HG.

Yesterday, fasted all day, went to our lunch and they forgot about us, so they bought us a chicken each. spine, every bone in the body. and tortillas. It tasted like nothing but we pounded them haha. and were still starving. thats life here in mexico, cereal BK and Dinner. and lunch at a members

Love you all,

Peace, love, and somebody give my little brother a haircut :)
