Last Letter

Well, One week left, we should have 3 bap. this week, to end my mission well. This week was fun. I went to Tij on monday, it was good to go up there again, I miss tij. Well that night we went out to eat with like 15 other missionaries. It was pretty cool. We went to Pampas which is like tuacanos or rodillio it was super good food. We got the bill and it was 5000 pesos. Wow. haha. Then the day after that we had the conference. it also went super well. I be glad though I dont have to go again. while we were there the Pres asked me if I could write about my ward though, and send it to him in a email, so he could send it to the area presedency. Every so often the pres. needs to give a report about the success the mission is having. and the pres decided to use my letter and my ward for that report. So that was a high honor. After the conference, we got to go to the other side. It was a crazy experience to cross. one elder was from panama and so he needed to fill out a bunch of stuff to be able to cross. But we finally made it. We drove up to the temple. Not without first passing by the 7 elevn to by a slurpee. as we got to the temple. It was absolutly incredeble. It really is an amazion beautiful temple. it had a bunch of christmas lights and everything, and it was super beautiful. Well we got there in time to go to the 7 o clock session. The new temple film is super enlighting and a lot clearer then the old film. It was amazing all that I learned there, more then anything it just gave me renewed strenght and determinacion. it was super special. After we left. we took some pic and then drove to in and out..... what up. it was a super good night. it was me and 5 other missionaries. we crossed the border at like 11 at night. so yeah we may have got home pretty dang late haha. I got on a bus wed. morning to come home. I worked till sat. and sat. we went back to tij. but this time with all the ward  councils of the whole stake. we had 3 buses and a 70 talked to us. Elder antuniano. Well that got out late and our bus stopped to eat some tacos so we got home at 11 again. haha all in all im super tired. but it has been super fun. Hey by the way. I think the 20th Im going to a wedding. oh and I decided Ill be getting a job, to afford a new car. God wants me to get married, and driving the green, im super calm relaxed and have no pride mercury is not going to help me in that dep. and my civic puts in work in the snow going up the canyon but I will proly die in the mercury.  But  I am super glad and thankfull you guys help me out.

Anyways. I love you all.

Peace, and love.

Oh I cant find presents or gifts or anything so yeah.... I will be coming home empty handed.

Baja

Hey fam. So life is super good. This week we went to the baja 1000. Can I say dope..... super dope. Honestly those trucks are pimped out to the teeth...... some of them really did have teeth. We went and looked at all the clase 1 and trophy trucks. I would send you pics but I think my camera is infected with mexican internet beatles so thatll be a project for when I get home.... just the chip can only be read by the camera.... anyways. after that we went to one of the places that the cars were going to pass. It was a dirt jump that they had made in the middle of a water spill way. There was people up and down the banks and in the bottom, up in the trees. Basically they were everywhere. There was aton of guys. so that was cool The trophies  would come by doing 60 miles an hour and hit the jump then land and smash into a gaint puddle at was tight. Then they had a short stretch of sand before they went under the tunnel. Basically it was insane. and super tight. in between cars people would start crossing the track and everyone would start cheering for  them saying they were idiots haha. and then the police came and took the people out of the track and then everyone cheered even more. It was dope. Def. the highlight of my week. Weve got 4 or 5 bap. this week. and the work is going super well right now. I really do love you all aton even though I dont write much. and well yeah pops if I need to give a talk the 18 I can do it. Just tell me before hand what Im going to talk about.

Peace, and love.

He'll be coming around the corner when he comes! Toot! Toot!

So this week was tranfers. Thank goodness Im staying here for my last 5 weeks. Last night was kinda interesting. We have one sector which they are closing down, so we went and talked to the owners and all that jazz. Then after that we went to the bus center because we needed to pick up a missionary and drop him off at his new sector Well he got in around 9 15. And When we got to his house it was like 9:30 well the Elders on sunday need to be in the house by 8:30 at the latest. We show up there and right as we show up the Elders are getting home. We unpack the car and put his stuff inside. Then one of the Elder goes to leave the house again. He wanted to go back to some party that they were at. He goes home with me and he now thinks that the mission rules dont apply to him. I told him to get back in side and he basically told me to go to ....... and that he wasnt going to go back in. So I sent the other two missionaries to their house. And then me and my comp repremended the member for letting the missionary be obediente, and then the missionary and well we left in the car. and came back and the missionary was trying to leave with the member again. So we tore into them again. And well..... yeah. So i was not happy last night. But now its all good. He is no longer in the zone and I told the Pres that he needs to put him in a threesome with ZL so we will see what goes down.

As far as investigators go. 6 months ago 2 little girls got bap. and there parents werent married yet so they couldnt get bap. Well we aranged their marriage for the 22nd of this month and also there bap. will be for that day also. So that is tight. We should have like another 6 bap. before I go home. So thats super cool. Im excited about that. The only prob. is that no one wants to go to church. We only had 1 of our investigators that went to church this week. Super lame. But the good thing is is they are all still on track for their bap. dates.

Saturday we were headed to our food appointment and we were alittle late so we were headed super fast. Well I passed by a street that had a party going on. Ducked under the rope that they had hung to keep the cars from going by and kept riding at full speed. Alittle bit farther down the road me and my comp stopped and looked back to find our other comp. Elder Mccracken. After a good 20 seconds he showed up and we kept going. He seemed pretty mad and I was thinking whats wrong with this kid. Well it didnt all make sense to me until we showed up to the house and I saw that his whole back and side sere covered in dirt. haha. Apparently he hadnt actually seen the rope so while riding at full speed, right before he got to the rope he noticed it and he felt like his best choice was to put his bike down on its side..... haha he was not happy....

Other then that the week was pretty normal. Did I ever say I really like the bible. That book is tight. More the new testement. But I've been studying it for a while now... like 6 months, and I really like paul. That guy is quite the writer.

Anyways, I love you all and I hope you have a great week. Thanks for the letters and for all the love.

Peace, Love and she'll be coming around the corner when she comes.

Pretty dang good

So this week was pretty dang good. As far a investigators go. Well I can´t say that we had a ton of success. We did get 6 to go to church this week and 4 of them have bap. dates for next week. So we will see how that goes. I hope we can pullit off to have all 4 bap. Its gonna be hard but Itll be good. This week we went on thursday to Tij. We rented out a bus and took all the Elders up to Tij. It was sweet. Once we got there we had a meeting with Elder Walker of the 70. The guy is super white with blue eyes. and pretty tall. His wife is also super white and like 5 10 so I was thinking they werent going to be able to speak spanish very well. Turns out they are both from Argentina so they speak it perfectly... with an accent but its aight. The meeting went super well. the talks were very generel. Speaking about the holy ghost and obedience and bap. But they were good. I honestly was just trying to stay awake. But then on Saturday. We went back to Tij. this time just for a meeting with him and the ZLs It was super good. His wife talked about Cap. Moroni and the way he lead his troops. The reasons why he had so much success. It was a super inspirational talk as a leader. She talked about Moroni and who he looked out for not only the temporal well being but also the spritual well being of his soldiers and that he always trusted in the lord. Turning to Alma or the prophet at this time before he went to war. It was a very good talk. Her Husband Elder Walker talked about Alma and Amulek and how he didnt have success in the town of amoniha (something like that) until he went back for the second time with Amulek ( a less active member of the church) as a companion to help him out. When The preaching power of Alma and the friend base that Amulek had, they were able to actually have converts in that city. Anyways. The talks were all super good and the spirit was super strong.

On the bus we got to watch battleship and the start of batman. Battleship is decent. alittle wierd but its not a bad mission movie. I thik today we are just going to go shopping, I want to buy stuff for when I go home, but its all super hevy so I think I will wait till I come back to get it all. That way we can cook beans in a clay pot and have a bowl to grind the salsa and yeah there is aton of mexican stuff we need to be honest. Basically there culture revolves around food. And well most people dont actually know how to make it but there are acouple that are super good at it though. And if you make it with the right stuff. It tastes amazing. Like drinking water out of clay pitchers (amazing) beans out of a clay pot (amazing) better then any crocpot, Anyways, they do alright with the food down here haha. Im learning alittle bit. Its honestly pretty easy to do it all, so we shouldnt have to many problems cooking it at home. Plus my comp from michigan lives up there and cooks way good mexican food so we will have him show us.

But yeah, we will be doing alot of carne asada when I get home, some chiliquiles, huaraches, flautas, picadas, sopes, frijoles puercos, carnitas, siete mares, unas almejas o jaivas...... no manches bien sabroso todo. Itll be fun.

Oh hey sorry that last week I said that about my plane ticket. I didnt think youd take it serious. If we didnt fill that out they would just call you guys and get the info that way. They just needed the numbers to be able to talk to the stake pres to makade sure everything is alright for when I get home. That I still have a home and family and all that jazz. But anyways thatnks for geting it to them.

Anyways I hope You all know I love you all tons. As far as stuff for my B day. Just give it to me when I get back, It would be feckless to actuallly send me something and as far as christmas, Well I like skiing and camping, and women. So if it has something to do with the first 2 I think youll make good choices. Ill take care of the 3 one on my own.

Oh hey mom if you could sign up for my school that would be sweet. like 16 or 18 credit hours. Or basically what ever looks alright, I enjoyed only taking 12 last semester that was dope. Also Im guessing it will be important to go and talk to the scholarship office again, if you would so kindly do that for me. Hey Im still going to get FAFSA right? Like it would be cool if you guys just got super rich but I did really like my free cash. So just stay poor for awhile longer... till I get out of college.

Peace, and Love fam. and friends

Holy Tacos!

It was a pretty good movie thats what we watched for our zone activity today (pacific Rim) We set the projector up in the church and blacked out a room. Anyways it was fun. This week I went down to San quintin which is alwyas terrible. Basically it is a little town which is ran about the agriculture so basically everyone there works in the fields. Which makes them all look as if they were from the middle east because of their wrapped heads and covered up mouths. You can only see the tiniest slit in between the bandana on the mouth and there turbin to see there eyes. There is only 1 paved raod there and the pres. stopped sending english missionaries there because the all leave with typhoid fever. Anyways it was fun as always its like a 4 hour bus ride so we get to watch some movies. We watched the avengers and also madagascar 3. Well while I was down there they just gave us money for the lunch... the missionaries no longer eat with the members down there, because the member always cook things that are un eatable. But this time the member just siad he wanted to give us money well he gave us 30 bucks so we each ate aton. It was super fun. We had 10 tacos for lunch with a soda then after that we worked and went and bought aguas... de frutas y de cebada. mine was de cebada which may be against the word of wisdom but ill stay in my innocence and ignorance and keep drinking it. Usually its just roasted wheat but I really dont know what else they put in there. And in the night we ate another 20 tacos de adobada with 2 really hot salsas. after we started and the owner say we like salsa he brought us out habaneros to eat with the tacos... Haha, we were all crying. But they we super good. Loved em. The only bad part about those pepers is the they never stop burning, infact i think they burn more coming out then in. Well the tacos were super good. Its pork stips marinaded in chile and then put on a vertical scewer making a large top looking thing of straight meat and then a large shooting flam roast it as they cut it off onto a tortilla to give you some of the best tasting things you will ever have. I eat tacos at least 2 a week. And love them. Actually Saturday one of my best friends here in the mission who left like 5 months ago came back down.... And so I saw him for like 30 min in the night. and well haha we ate more tacos... what up. Ive heard that there is actually tacos close to temple square I will investigate later.

As far as investigators go. I would love to tell you tons of stories but basically its the same I teach them and then they say they will get baptized and go to church and well they never do. So.... the dont progress. What a bummer. But this sunday was sweet because we reactivated a less active family and we had all 9 of them in church and they took up an entire row in the sac. meeting it was super cool to think that God let me be the means for which they came back to his flock. Oh hey by the way I have no Idea about my flight info. Because when I sent you guys that email asking you to fill it out you never did and so well my ticket isnt bought yet. I just told them I had no idea any of that info and my fam doesnt love me and wouldnt help me. So they said they would just figure it out. But yeah.

Anyways. I love you all tons and am super happy your all alright I hope you have a great week. This week Im going to TJ thursday, Sat, and monday. So that will be fun. The part that wont be fun is I will be having a meeting with the 70 and am going to tell him that I didnt bap. this month and that my zone bap. 2. Thatll be fun to see his reaction. haha.รง

Peace, Love, and Well yeah

You guys can make it.

Alright. I know you all hate my letters but....... to bad its only for 2 more months... You guys can make it. So basically Im training a new ZL and a new Elder. so we are in a threesome. Anyways I think We will be back in like a couple hours to write again. So well I guess Ill write you guys in a couple minutes.

********************************************************

Im back but Im still just going to write quick. This week went good. We didnt have any big success we found a couple new investigators and lost some old ones..... seems very familiar. But weve got 7 baptismal dates right now which is cool. They just need to go to church so they can progress.... which is not as easy as it sounds. Im glad the family is doing alright and that my brother crashed.... he needs to sometimes ;) love you bro. Im excited to go ski when I get home but I hope you know Im just going to take it calm... like I do with everything In life. So ive been thinking to actually sell my skis and just get me a pair of 90s under foot, so I can just go down the groomers and stuff like that........ Seems like a good idea right? Well see if I do it when I get home or not. But yeah. Life here is good. We have had a good week even though they feed us the same thing every day. Tacos dorados.... basically its what grams makes just that you fold it in half with meat inside. then you bake it to make it a hard shell. After that you put cheese and what ever you want on top. super good but super unhealthly. My comps are allright. The one from Idaho. He is a good guy. yeah he has like 2 weeks here in Mex. so he doesnt speak much spanish but he has a big heart... and the other one has a year here. He is from guatamala. Just to tell you I want to go to guatamala to hike some volcanoes and stuff like that. Its tight down there. And well Im not that fond of him you could say..... Hate is a strong word but I reallly really really dislike him. But yeah. Ill make it I figure how long could I be with him for..... 8 more weeks.... Ill make the final push.

We had interviews with the pres. this week. I always enjoy talkin to that man. Hes a super good guy. We talked about the zone, and my comps he says he put them both with me so I could train them both.... thank you pres, thats not cool. He says that here in the next couple of weeks he is going to take me to the temple... If he does we can just go to Sea world all day. He usually just takes the assistents so I must be on his semi good list. It would be cool if one day you guys meet him. His daughter is actually at BYU right now and is going to get married to the cusin of my comp in Michigan... Def. one of my best comps ever. The pres thanked me for the work Ive down and thanked, and just told me to give it my all on the way out... I plan to. We were supposed to have a meeting with the stake pres and the miss. pres this week and I spent a couple long hours slaving away with formats and excel doc. and numbers and graphs and stuff. It turned out alright. not my best but not my worst either. I like to do it so that numbers actually make sense and that the stake pres. takes action. Its fun because the pres always shows my reports in the leadership conferences and now the whole mission does something similar. When I showed up here the missioneres didnt think much for themselves they just kinda  did what the pres said and never tried to make something there own or better it. The pres thanked me for helping the mission change in that way. All in all the interview and everything went well. Im glad Ive had some sort of effect here in the mission because honestly my converts havnt gone so well. Almost all of them are inactive and it makes me sad to think, that because the wards didnt do anything after to help them out that the converts just kinda slipped away. My last two areas Ive been able to change the wards enough to help them make plans to keep the people active. Honestly its exhausting work to always be there doing what isnt my job. But Im not about to let all my converts slip away.

Anyways Im super glad that your alright. Its good to here there is a little snow there atleast. Im excited to see snow again.

Anyways I love you all tons I hope you have a great week. Be careful bro.

Peace, Love, and have fun while Im gone.

Conference

Alright..... This letter is not going to be all that great so I hope you dont kill me

First things first. My comp is a good guy. He is from guatemala and well we get along well. He works hard and all that so Ill have no prob. with him. Today we played soccer as a Z activity and invited the other zone. We played hard and won alot of the games. But wow does my body hurt. I wish I was in shape again..... But i guess my time will come. He if z is buying all this AT gear who is he going to go with? Ive got cash but Im not rich haha. But really what cash Ive got, well buy what you can with it if you need to so that my bro has got a partner in the snow. otherwise he will die in the avi. This week was good, Elder leir is a good kid. Super smart, went to U of Chicago. I costs 60,000 the year there.... thank goodness Im not that smart. We put acouple bap. date this week, but seeing as the conf. was super far away it was basically imposible to get inv. to go and well. We now have nothing. No one went... so that was super lame. I really enjoyed the conf. and actually watched apart in english which was nice.  dont have any problems with spanish but you dont actually here the voice of the prophets so I really did enjoy the english part I watch. Then again Elder Perry records his in spanish so thats pretty cool and a couple of the other Spanish people that talked did the same. But yeah it was super good. I really enjoyed how it was super centered in the family and also in missionary work. I enjoyed it aton. Its cool cuz after conference, time seems to go by super fast. and well seeing as I dont have much of it. It is going by even faster. This month is jam packed. Right now actually my letter is super bad cuz I still need to cut my hair, bath and get on a bus to got to TJ before the night is through. So yeah. Sorry. We do have a couple people that are cool that we are teaching right now. But as far as someone that is progressing super well. We really dont have anyone. So Ill keep working on that one.

Oh yeah, Mom youd be super jelous we ate super good this week. We aight Clam and Shrimp coctail..... Super good and super raw. Actually we slit open there shells and took out the clams and then through them in with some Shrimps.... which are actually boiled and some shrimp water, alittle bit of pico de gallo aton of ketchup and aton of chilis and boom.... super good. Oh yeah then we got out the oisters.... super ugly but we slit open the shells cut the oister free. leaving it in the shell then would drench it in lime and chili. throw back the head and let it all slide off the shell and into your mouth... it feels about like raw egg but it tastes really good. One day when we are on the beach we can do.

Hey I thought I sent this one monday.... sorry about that here it is half finished

Hey Fam

Hey fam....

Well sounds like your weeks went well there. Joshs ankle looks good, I like the new style. I hope the doctors do a good job on it. Its hard sometimes to be here in Mex. because of the lack of medical care there is. Its sad to see that people who had very minor injuries are effected for there entire life becuase of it. If you were here Josh you would never walk again on that foot. If you want good medical attencion they either go to the other side or they go to D.F. but the both of them mean you need alot of money.... and no one has the kind of cash. Unless you sell drugs... or follow the gospel and pay tithing. Its amazing to see how the faithful members are so blessed. Maybe its because of the sercumstances that makes them faithful or maybe its because theyve been faithful that they have good sercumstances. (thats not even close to spelled right). This week we had transfers which aight. My comp got switched which is kinda lame. But my new comp seems alright Elder Choc he is from guatemala and worked in a bakery so Ill see if he can teach me how to make some mexican bread haha ;)

We had some super omeletes this week. We ate Omeletes with rajas con queso. Its basically chile thats been sweated and peeled with cream and cheese in an omelete and a salsa made in a molcajete. Or a big grinder. It turned out super well. Next week the same family I think is going to make us oisters haha. super happy.

Well our investigators are..... well we really dont have any. We have 2 that will be bap. in nov. But they need to get married. And we found 3 new ones last week. They have been to church twice now and they we be bap. in Oct im sure. We still havnt. been able to share a good message with them yet. The situacion in the family is super sad. The oldest girl was living here with her dad she is 16 and has a 2 yr old and is prego. Her mom was living with her 2nd husband and her 2 other daughters.... they are 11 and 6 when her other husband didnt respect the 2 little girls. So now the oldest of the 2 little ones has some serious phsyc problems for what her dad did to her. Anyways so they left the house were they were living and moved here. Taking with them nothing because it costs to much to move here. Anyways.... I hope that they can find the peace that there heavenly father has to offer them. They are a super cool family just have passed through alot of really hard things.

This week me and my comp spent alot of hours working on a master training meeting for our stake that each bishop was going to do in his ward councel. To get the area plan to work... Theyve got 10 months with the new one and its not even close to finishing. And also to get the ward members to work. Well it took us alot of work. And turned out super easy to understand. But the bishop didnt follow the training we gave him and the ward councel turned into a huge mess this week. The members were all yelling at each other. There was a couple that said they couldnt go to the councle meetings becuase they werent that devoted to the lord, and that even though sundayshould be devoted to God they were the exepction because of there family they had... and just alot of stuff went down... alot. In the end the bishop calmed eveyone down and they chewed into them haha. But wow, I hope when I get home I can complete with whatever assignment, or calling  they give me. As it may not be easy but... well they cant say they didnt sign up for this. They know what God wants from them.

Anyways, I love you all tons, I hope you have a great week

Peace, Love, and keep living the good life..

Hey fam, thanks so much for the ski pass.... if you want that can be my christmas present..... if not it could be GoPro Hero 3 Black Edicion haha ;) hint hint wink wink...

Oh hey so as far as majors go.
What sounds better Biology (bluck)
Business admin (what does this have to do with med. Im not sure but I think it would be fun)
Or Exercise and Sports Science (this is the one you should proly sign me up for)
And a Spanish major also

So anyways if you could sign me up for that this week I would love you all forever. Or when the semester opens Im not sure how it works... thats why ive got sisters right :)

Aqui esta una familia bien poderosa.... They are all members exepct the dad, they are going to go live in the hills so that they dont have to pay rent were they are at. Sotomorrow in the morning we are going to go help him do some work on his house. Its literally a 8 by 16 room that will be there house. Its going to be pretty hard on the fam. especially on the kids but theyll make it.

The other pic is of the district. since the other part of the zone is super far away haha.

Fun Week

Anyways, This week was fun. The Elderes from San Quintin and Guerrero Negro came for the zone conference, so they stayed in our house on monday night, plus on monday we played some serious soccer, Wow my body hurt so bad, I may not be great at soccer, but I work hard so I can still keep up with the rest of them. But yeah, tuesday we had a zone conference, it went pretty good, and then that night we went to a meeting with the Mis Pres and Stake Pres. Its a fun meeting, I made some new reports this time that showed the retencion of new converts and an overall growth in the attendance in sacrament. The charts turned out really well, and I enjoyed presenting it to the stake pres. and showing him that his stake is gowing down the hole haha. No but really 6 of 9 wards have decressed in attendance. and the other 2 have stayed the same. The only ward that has had progress is ours we had a 11 percent increase. Anyways we are working super hard. The pres says next week he is going to send 2 missionaries more to work here so that will be interesting.

After the meeting we convinced the pres to take us out to tacos.... Wow Im going to miss the tacos. Alot. They really are supper good, and Im pretty sure you cant make them on the other side because of health codes haha. We were sitting there with the pres when his wife found us... haha The pres. face was like a childs while being scolded by his mother after stealing candy it was priceless.

Wed. we had noche mexicana in the stake for the Ind. day. 15 of Sep. it was pretty fun. There was alot of food. A guy from our ward, wow is a teacher, had class at that hour so I showed up to the class told all students. (college students) that there was free food there and so he took his whole class. So we got so referals from there. Other then that.

On sat. we had a bap. Well our ward mission leader was in charge of filling the font. There wasnt water because a pipe had broken.... or something like that, is pretty hard to explain. But basically that made it so the water reserve had filled up completely. above the level of the drain for the bap font. So he just opened the drain and let water come back in... through the drain into the font. Well the water was disgusting, me and my comp showed up and well to fix the prob. we needed a pump. so we decided to just try to clean the water. We made nets out of supplys the relief. society had. and well tried to clean the water and mop the floor and well the water was a super dirty so we shaved on of the toilet tablets up to put in the water and make it blue..... anyways, the water turned out super dirty, with blue specs, and so we ended up filling up the font in another church and there we did the bap. haha. it was pretty good. The bap. went super well and the spirit was strong.

All in all it has been a great week, working hard and super tired. Plus its super hot again. but life good.

Peace, Love, and till next week.

Here comes winter

Well life here is great. I always think of alot of things Im going to write you guys and then forget them all. I used to write them in my agenda, but this week it kinda got soaked with sweat and well its alil trashed, so i didnt end up writting anything there for today. Anyways. As far as the missionary work goes its..... Hard. Im not big on this whole 5 week thing. We have 4 lesson we teach thats it. So now we have to figure out something to tell this people for the next 3 weeks. Not cool. also its super hard to get people to church here.  But we are going to have a bap. this week. So atleast we will have 1 this month. But right now Im putting our bap. date for the last week in oct. and it feels super weird. Im sure I will leave the mission before I get used to this new form of work we are doing. But Ive seen alot of changes in my mission. 18 yr. old missionaries. We stopped knocking doors. sis. trainingship leaders. and now this 5 week thing. So yeah things have changed but its all for the better.

This week in church was crazy. we only had  investigator which is a total bummer but. all in all the church meeting went well. our people who were progressing stopped and well we are now in a hole. But anyways. We were in the priesthood class when the guy who brought the lesson. Left the class and asked some other guy to give the lesson. Anyways everyone started to share the own feelings on leardership. And well one guy started talking and a couple people hard a dif. point of view them him. and they tried to interupt but he kept teling them to be quite. until one guy gets up and starts yelling. "No soy burro ni burrito" haha he just kept repeating that, until the first councelor lead him out of the room then he ran back in swing at the guy and the first councelor had to pull him out again... haha it was crazy.

This week was the fight with mayweather and canelo. Its cool that here in Mx boxing is a big deal. So that was fun. I didnt get to see the fight obviously but still enjoyed talking about it with people, Canelo is from mex. So i just egged people on about how mayweather was going to win haha. Also it was sep. 15 here which is there day of independence. So that was fun. The people actually dont do anything but still they usually have some small partys and drink alot and then they go to the "yell" el grito and they give respect for the soldiers that died. Kinda cool.

Hey pops we need to take a trip to go sea fishing.... I wanna catch some fish out there. and we should prob. do it on kayaks so that its even funner. how that sound? oh and we will prob. need another bike so you can teach me what up.... just a suggestion.

Anyways I love you all. and Hope you have a great week

Peace, Love and here comes winter yeah

Love the work.

Hows life there in the states holding up. Provo got slammed with rain huh? I guess thats God saying BYU should repent, Utah y BYU play this week no? Thatll be a sick game..... well it would be if I were there but you can give me a play by play next monday. This week went well. The two Elderes that were here with us, went back to san quitin. My comps foot is getting better but he has scar tissue that has built up under his toe that is retracting it. So he wil get surgery when he gets back. They did it wrong like 3 times here, and he even went to specialists and everthing. He still has the warts so basically it has all been for nothing. He gets kinda down on himself sometimes but he is a good guy.

Today we went to the bufadora... the blowhole. its a place were the sea builds up pressure and blows a ton of water in the air.... well it wasnt working... they had turned off the pumps or something..... no JK its just that the water was super calm... all in all the sea was super beautiful and I wouldnt mind living in Cali to ski and surf all year long haha. I bought some suveniers of MX. Im now buying stuff to take to my house.... thats crazy. This week I got a letter about my flight, and some numbers that they need. Wow.... its not all that far away I guess.

On tuesday we went to the leadership council. It was boring as usual but I liked hearing the pres talk. We went to rosarito first and ate a huge burrito.. gaint as in like a tortilla that is atleast 24 inches in diamater. filled with cheese, adobada and asada.... Meat lots and lots of meat. I finished it, easily haha then Elder Alfaro barely finished his and my comp and another missionary stopped half way through. They were super delicious haha. Then we got to the house of the assistants and it was super hot. I slept with the cocroaches and mice... acually I didnt sleep till like 4 in the morning. it was tererible. And I threw up.... well ore like gagged myself, cuz on the burrito I couldnt find a cummfy position haha. Anyways the conference was fun. We were in the conference and the Pres, in front of everyone said he wanted me to stay another 6 months here in the mission with him till he gets relieved as pres. Now everyone is on my back, saying im some brown noser... cant say im not haha. it never hurts to be on someones good side. Ive just always tried to better the mission and better the people. The church is just like anyother organization it is always changing and growing to better meet the needs of the people... the gospel remains the same but the way we preach it changes. Ive just always tried to speed up those changes and do what I can to serve the lord.

Anyways. I love the mission, and if the pres really let me stay I would sacrifice everything Ive worked for in my schooling but for the Lord I would stay. He is my savior, he is my redeemer, for him I have come here, for him and the love I have for him I preach his gospel, and through him one day I will gain my recompense.... along side abraham, along side Isaac. A life dedicated to the Lord, is the only life that really matters.

I love you all.

Peace, Love ,and I hope all is well in Zion

Also here is a pic of the beach here, it is super pretty. This week was super hot down here. Like I didnt sleep all week long type hot but Im doing good. So basically there was aton of people in the ocean. I think Im going to learn how to surf when I get home so mom.... you actually dont have to worry about signing me up... I wont be studying, it not actually necesary to study to make good money.... JK Im not sure yet, Ill say some prayers this week, Send me a list with all the majors on it :) please.

First week in Ensenada

Well this week went well. We spent most the week with mexican doctors that dont know anything.... the first doctor says my companions foot has fungus growing and also a bad infection and that they cant do anything then the next day we go to another and they say that his foot is fine and that its just the burns that are keeping it from healing. The second one is right... as far as my trained professional eye can see. He has some serious burns on his foot. So obiosly it will take along time to heal, and there is alittle bit of infection, but minor. Anyways the doc. put him on rest for 2 weeks, so being zone leader here and not wanting to stop working, I brought 2 elders from a city like 3 hours away... oh yeah my zone has 4 elders like 3 hours away and 2 elders 11 hours away in guerrero negro. anyways, so its kinda hard to keep track of them. also we have 4 elders and 2 sis. here in ensanada. Anways, one of the Elders comes from a super poor family and worked his whole life so doesnt really know how to read, so my comp is teaching him to read while I go out with the other and try to work in a sector that I was only with my comp 2 days in. So its all new. But we had good success. We got 8 new investigators and set 3 bap. dates this week. All for who knows when in the end of sep. but whatever Ill see what we can teach have to make them go to church 5 times.

Life here really has been good though. There is alot of members that help us out. The only prob. is this 2 Elders showed up and didnt use the right money for there bus tickets.... they have a special fund for it. Anyways, so they have no money, I just spent 100 bucks on medical stuff for my comp and now I have got to buy them food and wash their clothes.... not cool. In the end the mission will send me the money back, but yeah it kinda a pain in the but.

Sorry this letter is super short, Ive got aton of stuff to do, and alot of people to wite this week. But I love you all tons.

Get out of Dodge

Alright,
Hey you should send me a pic of that hole in the yard... it sounds like fun. Honestly this will sound like a total lie but Im pretty excited to do work there in the house... that doesnt mean the dishes mom but I think it will be fun to work in the rec room or what ever the project is when I get home. I do better then anyone down here when it comes to work but ya se, I know im not up to dads standards haha.
Anyways, I am now in Ensanada..... where at Im not sure but Im here and it seems allright. My comp is a good guy, Im not sure if we are actually going to work or not seeing as he had planter warts 3 months ago, and go them burnt off, then went back in 2 weeks ago and did it again, well now his foot is infected and also he has a fongus going on... so thats messed up and his foot isnt healing because of that and well yeah its kinda a mess. Oh and the doc, doesnt know what he is doing. today we had an appointment and the doc just yelled at my comp the whole time... haha poor guy. But it went well.
Im kinda sad I left Tij. I was enjoying my sector and we have alot of bap. that I will be missing. But at the same time its for the best, this week things went haywire there. Like 2 weeks ago a 16 year old girl... cool and cute, but not that cute, and..... well 16 so shes got no chance haha, was talking and said she was going to give me her triple when I left there, well I didnt think much of it and said sure. Then last week she asked me what I was going to give her, and she asked for a tie..... alright I said. Up to here, everything is alright. Just that her mom wants a returned missionary as a son in law. So one day last week, we were eating with a friend of the mom and she asked if i wanted to know my future.... intriged, I said si. Anways, she started talking about how Im in love with a dove, and that this dove wanted me, but that Im an angry person and I was scaring the dove away, then she said I was going to go home from my mission and that I was going to come back here and I was going to find a supprise waiting for me, that I would have to wait 3 more years to marry my dove.... anyways... wow. I just sat and listed and my comp was laughing his head off. but it all went... alright, but after that we went to the work of the mom and she started right in.... "why are you going to take my daughters triple" "um cuz she asked me to take it" "hmmm what are you planing with my daughter, what do you want with my daughter.... and aton of these questions that i couldnt answer... I didnt want to offend her or her daughter... so then she says Oh its allright, I know you cant tell me how you feel for my daughter till you get home, but Ill keep her waiting for you...... haha no way, anyways, super akward, the conversation went on for a bit and then haha I got up and left haha... saying good bye.. no worries it wasnt rude. But It def. was the right time to get out of dodge, cuz i didnt want to be there any more.
Anyways I love you all tons and hope the best for you all.
Peace, Love, and have a good week.
sorry the letter sucks:) as always.

Crazzy Weeek

Wow this week was crazy. We had a bap, on saturday that was super cool. She has been an investigator for a super long time and she finally got bap. so that made me super happy. Even if she did get dunked 6 times the bap. turned out well. Her uncle did the baptism and well he couldnt quite get her under the water. her head always stayed out. I felt bad, everyone was laughing and giving her and him tips but yeah.... its all good now and well she got baptized.

 This week was alittle lame cuz our war mission leader kept getting at us for different things... all of which were not true. But still, He said we had to bap. in long sleeves if not it wasnt going to count and that we didnt have permission to give people blessings if the bishop wasnt there with us. And well yeah, you catch the drift. Anyways when we tried to explain to him the doctine he said, Elders dont fight about it just accept it..... Anyways I may or maynot have tore him a new one and told him to read his manuals so that he wasnt ignorant and so that the leaders of the church couldnt fool him..... It went..... Well..... I think haha.

Then this morning we got more good news. Last night Elder Johnson of the 70 came to TJ to talk to the mission pres and the stake pres's of the area well he gave it to them good there, and told them that the church here isnt progressing and that he will be talking to SLC to have the halt the construction of the temple, Last year we had 1300 bap. here and a growth of 100 people in the attendence in the church. So basically he said we are well..... in trouble here..... So he changed the standard for bap. here. Before ever investigator needed 2 weeks in church to get bap. now they will need 5..... Wow. There went all our bap. the bap rate in the mission will go down.... drastically. But its all good. The retention will be better. And its the lords work and he was inspired in his decisiones so its alright.

Other then that, life is super good here. We had a zone conference this week, that was super cool, and the spirit was there super strong, the pres and his wife talked about obedience... we talked about working and training the members and the ward council... It went well. Sunday we taught the ward council, the elders qourem and rel. soc. We are going to share some messages with the youth this week, and train the ward council and the ward mission lider this week again.

Anyways super excited about life... love you all tons....

Chicken Feet

Hmmm this week went by well. We had a good amount of people in the church.... like 7 investigators or something like that, and we are going to have 2 bap. this next sunday which should be cool. One of the is a guy named Jose who was a pentacostle preacher but started dating a lady from the church and has now decided to become mormon haha, so Im cool with that, he prayed and got his answer thats the most important part. Also the other guy  his wife is a returned missionary. Inactive for the last 7 years decided to come back to church 2 weeks ago. He also one day while he was driving to work decided to pray to see if it was all true. Well he sayed that all the cars went silent and he started to worry if he has deaf the he felt a huge peace and assurance that it is all true. So thats super cool when something like that happens and your investigators have those kinda experiences.... God is our heavenly father... and he answers our prayes... always.

Yesterday we played basketball in the morning then football in the afternoon and so that was pretty fun. Im getting old and my body hurts but I guess rocks and waterfalls make you feel old fast haha. but im actually pretty good. just alittle stiff. One of my elders in the zone got super sick this week and went to the hospital haha. lame. But he also threw up on the ladys food. So that was a success. I ate some good food this week jajaja. well kinda. We had one day were we ate aton for lunch and so i felt alittle sick then in the night time we showed up at the house of a member and she had made for me chiken feet soup and pig feet in salsa verde. Also she had made chilaquiles. which is like tortilla chips... hand made with a really hot salsa ontop... just straight up california chile with onion and garlic blended up and poured on haha, sometimes they put in tomate, depending on how you like it. .... which are super good and even better with an egg on top. anyways I thought I was going to die, I was super full and she gave me three plates of food.... weird thing about chicken feet is that the bones are hollow so you just chew them up. My comp wouldnt eat them. And the pigs feet you eat the cartlige which is like gum and is super sticky. The only bad part is when they dont shave it well enough and there is still hair on it haha. they are actually super good. Then after that we went to another house to finish of the night and they gave us   rice pudding and bread... wow it was terrible. So I spent most of my night in the bathroom haha. But all is well now. No problems haha

What else happend this week. Oh we had the a meeting with the zone leaders and the pres wasnt going to be there so we brought sodas and a cake for Elder Llanes because it was his Bday and well haha that was fun too. Im going to play billard this week, we met a biker gang here and they have a table in their club so this week im going to make it a priority to go play... dont worry mom they are good guys. I asked them if I could use there bathroom, and they asked my comp. if I went in there to do coke. they said I looked that way. I hope not but whatever. Anyways they invited us to come play pool so Im going to go back to play.

Anyways I also completed 19 months this week and so Ive got 5 more haha. Which should be cool. I had a nightmare last night that they werent going to send us home the 24 but the 7th of jan. haha. anyways Im keeping my mind focused on the mission but its hard my comp even counts the days and is always reminding me of it ....

I love you all tons

Peace, Love, and go eat chiken feet. you actually can suck all the juice out of the bones and its quite tasty

Obedience

Alright so the photos look really cool, it seems like it was super fun there. The funny thing is that the foto I liked the most was of you on the bike up Grandview.... It brings back good.... and well bad memories but all in all it was a fun time up there. And with Morgan there in the background haha, man haha we will have to do a hike like that again, this time though, Im not bringing any pansies haha.

This week was good. Mom thanks for the squirt guns we had alot of fun with them this week. We would shoot all the dogs that barked at us. And then we started having wars with them. So right before we would enter in the house of somebody we would try to make it look like they wetted there pants haha. It was super funny. We got in a house and my comp forgot his squirt gun. So while we were walking out of the house, I had the both of them. I waited till he got on the stairs and there was no were to run and unloaded on him.... haha, It looked as if he had had a full blowout, haha, it was terrible.

Other then that not much happened this week. It went by well. Kinda slow but it has been fun. Today we went to the offices and I was sitting there talking to the sec. when Sister Carreon came in.... the presidents wife... she shook my hand and then saluted me, military style haha... and said that I should always be saluted like that haha...... I was so confused and still am confused haha. then she started to say why, more or less it was because of obedience and the way I carry myself down here. But it made me laugh and feel good. The sister is super cool..

Bummer note. Elder Castelan went home today.... I trained him and well he never really was a good missionary. Well when he was with me he was but ya no. Anyways he did alot of dumb things here in the mission. He had his comp. and ipod and telephone. They took it all away and well he bought it all again. So yeah, he also used to smoke when he was training apparently. Anyways, I felt like I did a good job with him when he was my comp and then well, I had to bring him down haha. So that was lame but whatever. Its Gods work and Ill be loyal to him.

Anyways, I love you all tons, and Im glad you are all doing well there, and talking about the mission. That will help everyone out alot.... I really like the new site the church came out with. Thework of  salvacion you should check it out. It has some really powerful stuff.

 Love you all.

Peace, love, and the bike looks fun pops.

No hablo engleis.

Here we go again.... no regrets... just friends...

Whats up fam, hows life going up there in Utah. Sometimes I miss Utah...... aight I always miss utah, the people dont get why we always say that it is so great there.... but they just dont understand... It really is the best there is.

Alright. This week Ill write about me, or try to. Deb. Thanks for the food it is super good. Right now im in Central Tij. right next to the border. There is alot of really cool things here... and by really cool I mean alot of really bad stuff that bad people do haha. But it makes for alot of really interesting conversations.

We have acouple people we are teacing right now. We droped almost all of our investigators and so are starting back up. We had some good people but then I dont even know what happened and everyone went to trash. But this week we had a bap. planned for Joel, well we taught the law of chastity and hes not married... super cool. Anna is also ready to bet dunked but is not married. We found 2 new families this week. One came from a member reference. They asked her for money... anyways it is a family of 5 or 6 and slowly they a progressing. Also we have a 16 year old girl named  Ani who was trying to carry some platic drwers I have no idea how to spell that and I think I know say that word wrong to but I hope you understand... anyways she came to church this week and the young women were super good with her so I think shell be back next week. She should get bap. next saturday. For the most part the lessons and the people are all the same. We do have a new member Veronica that comes from..... Im not even sure what part of Mex. but her husband was highly abusive and kept her from going to church and now is trying to find her to kill her.... anyways thats a long story short but the amazing part is how the lord has protected her and the difference that the church has made in her life. When she came here she was way sad and worried now that she goes to church she is super happy and doesnt worry all that much about life. She knows that if she completes with the lord... he will complete with her. Its amazing how the lord works.... He really is a loving heavenly father... I hope you all can see that and feel that now that there is a new little one running around there.

It makes me super happy to hear that little hudson is alright and that my sis. is doing alright. I was alittle worried for the both of them, especially being a little uniformed on it all. But Im just glad that God has his plan for us and he is always helping us in life.

I love you all and Im so happy that your all doing alright. I hope JB knows that next time he goes sailing its going to be an all mans trip :) If we cant make it sailing we will have to go white water raft something .... I miss the clear water.... man was that fun.

Love you all tons

Peace, Love, and taking life one step at a time...

Migra

 Hey fam
I hope the week has been good. Today we are having transfers so that is fun and lame. elder alfaro was a good comp. but I wont miss him all

that much to be honest. Anyways, Elder Cruz will be my new comp which should be fun. Sorry if this letter is alittle short but Im tired.... super tired. we got to sleep at 1 and got up at 6. not a good idea. But life is good. This week has been interesting. the whole week I didnt have the chance to study again and I really do feel drained. I need to study so I can have the spirit. But Im super glad that you guys have been going that makes me really happy. I just know that when I was at home I never did take advantage of having the temple so close. I hope that that changes when I get home.
Mom Dad I love you tons and worry about you out there in the sea but I know youll be alright.
Jay. I love you tons to and your going to be just fine dont worry. god loves you and he wnats a new boy here in the world. You going to be a mother of 2 now.... thats kinda cool huh. And Im gonna have a new nephew.
Anyways, here are some pics
the guy in orange well we bap. him last week. this week he tried to cross the border. Basically sat at the fence for 3 days wathcing to see if the migra left. and well there is 2 fences one you can just jump over...climb and the other is life 20 feet high and so you need a ladder. well. he got sick of waiting and so he climbed the first fence and weighted till the migra came and got him.... hmmmm kinda weird but apparently if you get caught and you have a legal family member on the other side they can bail you out.... or something like that. So right know he is tryig to do that. I think they have like only 2 days to do it though If not they well send him back to honduras and he will have to cross illegally into mexico... super easy, just tack a bus across the river. Then jump ontop of a train. and ride ontop of a train for 4 days and then take an acutall bus up to here. haha. to try to cross again. What a pain right.
Love you all, and your super blessed to be in the states haha. I hope this next week is a super great week for you all.
