Alright, I love you all super tons.

 But Im going to keep this letter a little short. im just not in the mood to write sorry. This morning I worked for 20 minutes trying to pull out the root of an ingrown toenail but failled which is super lame for the pain that is involved. I was puting on a creme for athletes foot and got it on my ingrown toenail the whole thing swole up really big so I figured it was time to take it out but it was super sensitive because it was swollen and well it hurt like th dickens. And well also my zone def, just took the week off. the numbers look terrible and in the whole months we baptised 1 So that is super lame.

But good stuff. Aaron got married. a member drove him to san luis. its easier to get married there and well he got married then that night we had carne asada which was pretty fun and really good. Thats something we will be adopting when I get home, the whole carne asada parties. Def. pretty fun. Just to tell you I always abbreviate def. because I forgot how to spell it haha. dffinatly deffinetaly. not really sure.English is not going that well haha. never could really speak it and now well im just done for.

anyways other then that. the ski day sounds super fun dad you guys should have went down to snowbird and went swimming haha. Lifes good here. Ive got one more week with my comp. He is a good guy and helps me alot with my spanish. It maynot be the best kind of spanish he speaks, def. chilango but I try to just use the good words haha.

We had a zone conference this week and I was not very happy about our results and def. for an hour just toor into everyone. then I brought out the scriptures and did it some more. Then God blessed me and just threw DandC 9 in my head with Oliver Codrey and how he didn't have the spirit or couldn't recognize it and so he lost his opportunity and so I read that and told everyone that they didn't have the spirit and were waist there mission that they would go home and not have acomplished anything. I def. went way over board. but whatever it was the only fun thing I did this week ahah.Anyways.my eyes hurt, Im wereing contacts and Im not sure why but the whole world is blurry and my head is spinning I love you all tons.

Alright, well im going to keep this email, reletivly short. Sorry if the grammer is bad, Sometimes I have an english keyboard, sometimes a spanish one, and well sometimes a keyboard in English that types spanish, the worst kind of all because you have no Idea what button does what. So there will be no question marks at all. I still have not found them after a year of hard looking. This week went well. We didnt really do much. We had some good lessons this week, but very few. We really havent been teaching that much and its killing me. We dont have investigators... like always, I really dont enjoy the way that we work in the mission now aday, I would rather go knock on doors. But the Lord sent me to do it so I guess Ill stick to it. Its just really slow to find people this way. Actually I still have never had a bap. working this way. But Im hoping to change all that someday. We will be bap. this week, not a referall from the ward though. We just have to get them married first. The other lady Maria Dolores that lives in Utah will be trying to head across the border here on friday. She for the meanwhile is in TJ waiting with her crew to get across. I hope she can. Dangit I just put this crap in Italics and dont know how I did it or how to undo it so will you can read everything like this sorry.  I figured it out.

The zone is super dead. As in we haven{t bap. this entire month in the zone and well the assistents are on our tail about it. Last night we had a video conference with all the zone leaders. They were about to rip us a new one and the comp crashed. God really does bless us sometimes. they didnt have much time so they couldnt realy tear into us that bad. So that was cool and unfortunatly all the mission looks about the same. Which is super lame. My comp goes home in two weeks so Ill be getting someone new not sure who.

This week We had zone conf. that was fun the pres came and gave us some wise council then they assistants started talking and the pres. got up and told them they were doing it all wrong and retaught what they tried to teach haha, it was pretty funny. It was on Mormon.org and I always used it in Michigan so was able to voice my opinion about it all which was nice. After that my comp and me had a meeting with the Stake Pres. Mission Pres. and the member of the high council that is in charge of missionary work. That was pretty fun. We ran the whole meeting and reported on everything in the zone and what the stake pres needed to do to improve the wards haha. that part was pretty cool. Then the stake pres said that some of the member thought we werent working because we dont knock doors and well the Mission Pres, deffended us brilliantly. It was a pretty fun little meeting. Getting prepaired for it and taking all the numbers of the zone... not so much but its not all that bad really.

    Went on comp. trades this week and had fun. We found a man in the street with a broken down car. We pushed it all the way back to his house. only like a quarter mile. but sunday the elders put a bap. date with him. He has a son that is handicap. and has him locked with a 1 inch gauge padalock on a steel frame door in a little room. it was quite the site. But the best part of the day was def. when we showed up at a old ladies house. she was pretty sick I did a quick med. check to make sure he stats all were good and then she asked us for a blessing. she said she had oil in her room that was consecrated my comp came back with a half liter bottle of olive oil. She said she took it to the church and had the whole bottle consecrated. then she said when I first had it it was full. It only had a skiff on the bottom left. haha, I asked her questioning who did all the blessings, if it was her home teachers the missionaries, or her self(knowing very well she was doing them herself haha)  Well she said that when ever she felt bad she would just go get oil and put it on her head haha. She asked us if it was alright and I told her yes. there is nothing bad about it it just doesnt do anything haha. Although it might help he hair out.

Coyotes and Chickens

Alright, well the week went well. We got back from the conference Tuesday in the night. WE slept over with the assistents and like 10 other Elderes pretty hectic but it was fun. Super tired in the morning. I couldn't really sleep, the matress was old and the blanket was dirty and gave me pretty bad allergies. Not my fav. but the conference went well. Nothing really new but its good to be reminded sometimes the things to do. We did get to watch the game plan and the next 3 hours or some movie like that. So that was fun. The week went pretty slow to be honest. Nothing much happened. We taught a good amount of lessons to members but its just not working. I'm going to step up my game this week and take control of this sector though my comp is just getting old, and doesnt want to work that hard. But I'll see what I can do. Other then that its been good. Saturday in the night. Aaron one of our investigators. invited us to a Carne Asada. Way good. But the company wasnt all that good. Everyone was drinking and smoking. and our investigator and his wife were just kinda laughing about it. They said sorry, and it was all good. It was pretty funny, we looked way out of place. But the music was cool haha. Some snoop Dog and Lil wayne going on. So thats my kinda party. We'll have to do some Carne Asadas when I get home. Super fun, just a relaxing time.

But well lame news of the week. Maria Dolores didnt stick around much. She left here thursday in the night to try to cross again. This time she went with 6 other people. and tried to cross above the mountains. Well they started to hail bullets in at the 6 people and so she got stuck above the mountain with a bunch of Drug dealers trying to kill her. While she was up there. the coyote or here the chicken that was trying to cross them called border patrol so the patrol showed up and had a fire fight with the drug lords. Then took the 6 people and maria Dolores back to tijuana. As long as you don't try to cross with fake papers they let you try to cross as many times as you want. They just put you on the other side of the border and let you free again. haha super lame. Thats proly why they all make it in the end. But its pretty dangerous actually aton of people die crossing. she's going to try to cross again this week I think. we'll see about it.

I'm doing good. Thursday I went with Elder Haslam. He is from Ogden so that was pretty fun. He's a good kid. and is doing well in his district. But it was good to talk about normal stuff sometimes. With a Mexican Companion you can't talk about much. They don't really understant. They've never seen a dish washer in there life. Money is way different. They make 100 working 2 weeks straight 12 hour days. And they aren't big on adrenaline or doing crazy stuff. So its just... diferent. Sometimes it feels way good to talk with an english elder. He just finished his year mark so we celebrated with chinese food. Bluck I really do hate chinese food here. Its the cheapest thing you can find. and the meat is even cheaper. You can buy huge platters of food for 2 dolars....  but it was the only thing open at 9 oclock. We did teach a lesson and picked up 3 new investigators while we were waiting for the food though. haha.

Today we are going to go play soccer then watch a movie. I'm guessing mada gascar 3 so that will be fun. and tomorrow we have zone conference.

I'm glad to hear that mads is doing alright. I worried alot about her this week. and Sounds like your doing good on your skis pops. Sounds like itsbeen a steller good year. and that my little brother has alot. alot of time on the mountain haha. Well I hope he is being safe and having fun. Tell him to send me a new video. and to win that competition.

Well. Super bummer week and that side of the line it sounds like. Does our family fight alot now? or why would we not get along for 7 days in a hotel...? sounds like a blast to me. Anyways momma, Im super stoked to go to Disneyland with you when I get back. And lets go for 7 days. If nothing else we can come visit my mission pres one day or go to the temple in San Diego. But Im guessing we can find something to do in Disney for 7 days. anyways Im super stoked momma.

   Well you officially made me cry in a public Internet... no not really, but im crying on the inside. He was a great dog. and Nick.... well he needs alittle more help. But Im buying a dog one of this days when Im home so my pops can take care of him. But your going to have to go snowshoe more often cuz its gonna be a mulamute, and its gonna be huge. But we'll see on that one. Mads, thats a super bummer. I may have took medical anotomy and I may be an EMT but what does your Galbladder do? haha, nothing right. there is no huge complications in surgery or after right? Anyways Im glad your all doing good there. Pops may EPs are always in the house when you want to use them. And you guys are using my Go Pro no? cuz if not you bettter. Its just gettting old there and has no owner and I'll be finding a new one when I get home. Or someday when I have a job and money haha. But Im guessing they are really big boards and are really stiff and well they ski like the s7 from soloman, that are ment for basically just bomming really big hills. So get used to some big sweaper turns haha. Just use my skis man. And on the huge dump days or on days when you wanna throw a 30 footer and run it off the mountian cutting 11's well use your boards. I told Isaac that we are going to buy you a big hula hoop to go behind you so we can slow you down haha. No I love you and you still out ski me no worries.

    Anyways here in Mexicali everything is good. We live in alittle shack, that is super gated by huge bars in everydirection and like 4 different locks to get in. Pretty ghetto. But its cool. We have bikes here which is sweet. and Im excited about that. The ward is super cool, and there are some cool members. Im super excited about the area though. It is pretty hot right now here. But not terrible. Oh the Pres came out the other day and gave us our letters and packages. Well I got the postcards gramsy sent and the pacage you sent. Not sure what happens to the letters haha. maybe you dont put enough stamps on them not really sure haha. but thanks for the letters in the package mom. only one of them had I read before from november 11 or something like that. You guys bought a new TV.... thats cool and haha I was laughing out loud at all the stories of Fin. and my sister that locks her kid in the car haha. Way to go Jay haha. Love you tons.

 

My comp is a good guy, he is well kinda dead. He turned off the alarm this morning and I almost killed him. But he is way better then my other comps haha. He is a good guy and is pretty nice. Elder Salgado. I feel bad he has 23 months in the mission and he just got his Dear John haha. But he is a good guy. We will be heading to Tijuana right after this. and stay there the night. Tomorrow we have Zone leader Conference. So far I havent had to do anything new as ZL, there is acouple different meetings and phone calls, numbers and such but for the most part its all the same.

 

Alright well Ive got nothing else to right and well I wasn't going to write this part but well haha you guys got lucky. Anyways we are going to have a baptism This week. A lady that is named Maria Dolores. She acually lives in South jordan Utah. But 8 months ago she faught with her Husband there and brought her 3 kids to mexico to Jalisco with her mom. Well her kids didnt want to come because of all the bad things they had heard about mexico. Well they got down here and the first day they were here, in the morning some guy selling the newspaper said that three were found dead. The next morning there neighbor was found missing, they found him the next day without his head. and well within a week 6 people on that street had been kidnapped. (no worries I dont live there) Anywas her kids all wanted to come home. and she did to. She put them on flights to get home but she didnt have papers. So she came to the border to get across, and well she stayed awhile trying to figure a way to get across and last week she found a guy that said he would take her across for 9 thousand dolars. The guy was there with his daughter and said everything would be alright. Well they got in a truck to go across and they kidnapped her and 8 others that were going to cross together. She said all the men and there ak 47s (cuerno de chivos) Rams horn is what they call it. Anyways they put them in a metal freight container and she was the only girl there. They would play music all day (coridos) saying that they had bought the Gov. and that they were more powerful then God and Satan and that they were going to kill the girl and everyone. She was super scared that she was going to be violated so she ate soap and puked all the time so that they would be disgusted by her. Well they asked for a 9 thousand dolar bail oh her and her family paid it. But to those that didn't pay it they beat them badly and burnt There but cheeks with lighters. the entire time that she was there though she remembered what the missionaries had taught her in salt lake and she told everyone to pray. They prayed and prayed and prayed and they guys got way mad at her and them. Then a man that was wearing a cross felt bad and told the rest to be quite. After 5 days there they let her go and the rest that were with her and well she came to Mexicali to be with her aunt. who is in our ward. Well the Gospel of Christ is the best solution to all problems, and we will be apllying that. Im guessing that we will baptize her this weekend if not the next. We could do it either or. Just that she is a little mentaly scared and so we are thinking about posponing it a little. But its a super story. Its way dangerous to try to cross the border and well thats what happens. Dont worry though. The problems that happen here are all between gangs and drugs and so inocent people usually arent involved and missionaries are never involved. Im safe and doing great here.

 

Im going to go watch a movie in the bus ride... best part of my day besides talking with you guys. Anyways I love you all tons
