This week was a good one, we teach alot of people but that doesnt mean that alot of people are progressing. We did have a bap. this week which was cool. The lady is super cool but had alot of daught (or something like that). Anways she wasnt going to get bap. then we gave her along talk and that night she prayed and started to read in Ezequel. She read about how there is only good and bad and only 2 paths. Then in her catholic bible it said to go to chap. 33. Well she decided if the BofM was the word of God it would say the same in page 33.... weird deduction. but in page 33 nephi is talking about there is only 2 churches the church of god or of satan.... well what up, her prayer was answered... or something like that haha. then we came back the next day. put a bap. date for 2 days out. and were going to have the interview the following day. Well we put in work and used alot of cool scriptures to help her decide to get bap. but in the night she was scared again. then her son without nowing she was going to get bap. went her a mail saying that that day was going to be a special day and that she was going to have the oppurtunity to do something that she had fear of but that if she did it she would be blessed. Anyways the bap. was good.
we had stake conference on sunday... it was yummy, medium rare... flame cooked. But no it actually was pretty good. the pres. of the mision, stake and san diego temple gave good talks. I really enjoyed the talk by the temple pres. He spoke about the temple cov. and Elijah and his profecy. that upon the temple cov. the hearts of the fathers would be turned to the sons. and that that came to pass april 3. Actually in the jewish passover they leave a seat and glass of wine open at the end of the temple for the coming of elijah. Interesting to know that the 3rd of april was the 2nd day of the passover.
Anyways, I love the gospel and it is fun to see how everything naturally just falls into place. The profecies of old come to pass, and that honestly you can show that the church is true. But the most wonderful of all is that God lives, and loves us. He lets us feel that love and know of his existance. He guides and directs us in all aspects of our lives, and as we study the scriptures, go to church and kneel down in humble prayer we can shorten the gap between us and him. Joseph Smith is a testiment of that. He was given the urim and thumim and as he closed the gap between him and God. He stopped using it. There was no need for it. He could recieve rev. directly from God. because he knew how to find it. Let us all search for the same rev. and inspiration in our lives. Parents you live 30 sec. from the temple.... every week, even if you have to wake up early or sacrifice 3 hours in the middle of your day.... go to the temple it is the house of God.
